The Prescription Renewal -chat service will be updated to provide a more comprehensive pharmacotherapy assessment
From January 1, 2025, the name of the 'Prescription Renewal' -chat service will be changed to 'Prescription Renewal and Pharmacotherapy Assessment'. The service is available according to the opening hours of the Doctor chat service as per the occupational health agreement.
In the updated service the doctor will assess the overall medication considering the effectiveness of the drug, possible side effects, and interactions with other medications the customer is using, and will also assess the need for follow-up and continued treatment. This ensures the safety and effectiveness of pharmacotherapy as well as the continuity of care. The service can renew up to three prescriptions at a time.
The doctor will send the renewed prescriptions as electronic prescriptions to the pharmacy, and the medications can be picked up from the pharmacy after the consultation.
Prescription Renewal and Pharmacotherapy Assessment -chat service will also feature a more comprehensive and extensive pre-questionnaire. The pre-questionnaire ensures that essential information is communicated to the doctor and facilitates the customer's consultation. The pre-questionnaire will ask the customer for more detailed information about the prescriptions to be renewed, the adherence to medication usage and follow-up, the response to the medication, possible side effects, and other medications the customer is using. If necessary, the doctor may refer the customer for laboratory monitoring or a more detailed consultation and provides instructions during the consultation.
