Terveystalo surveys the human efficiency of Finnish working life
Terveystalo is conducting a survey of working-age people to find out how well-being and organisational performance are combined in Finnish workplaces. The survey, which is open to all, is part of the Humanly Effective programme launched in spring 2024. The results of the survey and the programme will be published in early 2025.
Terveystalo promotes the well-being of Finns by developing operating models that support sustainable working life. This work is carried out both in long-term cooperation with organisations and in broader development projects, including the Humanly Effective programme, which will culminate in a comprehensive survey conducted by Taloustutkimus to determine Finns' views on the current state of working life and human effectiveness.
The survey will collect important information on individuals' experiences of leadership, performance and well-being.
– The results of the survey will enable us to better define ways of introducing human efficiency into Finnish working life," says Jaakko Sahimaa, organisational psychologist at Terveystalo, who is in charge of the Humanly Effective programme.
Towards a humanly effective working life
The programme examines the importance of work-related coping and recovery for productivity.
– We want to show that humanity and efficiency can go hand in hand and lead to better results for both employees and organisations. The organisations involved represent a broad range of industries, which allows for a diverse perspective and the testing of new models in different work environments and cultures," says Sahimaa.
In 2024, the City of Oulu, Scania, Keva, Rantalainen, Eurofins, Drama Queen Communications, TAPAUS, Nordea Life, Biisoni, UNICEF Finland and SOS-Lapsikylä will participate in the Humanly Effective programme. In 2025, we will focus on the theme of humanely effective management and we are looking for management teams that want to improve their own operations.
