Terveystalo receives a recognition for diversity
The sustainability consulting firm Impaktly analyzed the diversity of the top management of Nordic listed companies in its Nordic Business Diversity Index 2025 report. According to the study, Terveystalo was the third most diverse organization in Finland in the mid-cap companies category. The study included over 840 companies from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
The diversity of top management was analyzed based on gender, age, nationality, and educational background. Terveystalo scored particularly high in terms of age and educational background.
– At the launch event, it was noted that only one percent of the top management of Nordic listed companies were born in the 1990s. In terms of age, Terveystalo's age range is broad: for example, our management team includes leaders born in the 1990s and 1960s, said Investor Relations and Sustainability Director Kati Kaksonen and Sustainability Manager Laura Tiainen at Terveystalo.
Diversity in leadership is not just about filling roles, but also about harnessing the collective power of diverse perspectives and inclusive actions to shape a future where people, organizations, and societies thrive together.
– I am proud of this recognition. Valuing diversity is a matter of heart and wisdom. Additionally, studies show that people from different reference groups enrich discussions and challenge each other's thinking. This leads to more diverse discussions and better decisions, says Terveystalo's HR Director Minttu Sinisalo.
– We want to actively work to promote diversity. Although we are pioneers in the areas analyzed in the Nordic Business Diversity Index 2025 report, I recognize that there are still areas where we have work to do, she continues.
